We went to Bangs this year for Halloween. Mimi and Papa both have birthdays on the 29th and on halloween, so the girls wanted to celebrate their "growing age". Boy, was it a weekend. Not only did we stay busy..... we were all sick with a nasty stomache bug. It started with hailey who got sick Thursday night. You might add shane and I became nauseaus as well after cleaning up her room that night. I continued to drive in on Friday morning even though I was sick. Hailey slept the entire time, only to wake to eat lunch (which by the way took her 2 hours to finish). We got to Bangs and we surprised Mimi at school with Birthday flowers. Then we went to the house. The kids had a blast playing with uncle Tim until Mimi and Papa got off work. Papa immediately got out the train and took the kids for a ride. He made me go as well, and let me tell you, the bumps did not feel well on a sick stomache. After a few rides, the girls were ready to get off. They decided to ride their powerwheels instead. (they only like them in Bangs - they wont touch them at our house). So, up and down the street they went. After a good hour, it was time to eat dinner. The girls chose hotdogs of all things. So, we ate, had birthday cupcakes and presents, and then got ready for trick or treating. Our first stop was Papa FLoyds at the Farm. He was so excited to have the kids come visit. He loaded them up with his chocolate stash, and gave them each a silver coin. Hannah entertained him with singing the pledge of allegiance and dancing. she was a hoot. Then we set off back to town and went trick or treating in the neighborhood. By 7:30 the girls were shot, but they waited until daddy arrived at 8:00. We went to a few more houses, and then the girls went to bed. Thank goodness because I was beat.
