Family Fun

Tonight (Monday) Shane got home from work

early and since it was cold outside and we didn't want to spend any money, we decided to do some fun stuff at home. Hannah decided she wanted to make brownies, and drink hot chocolate by the fire. Hailey wanted to practice on our act we are going to do on Christmas. So, that is EXACTLY what we did. Grandma Kelly came by today and brought the kids some Christmas pajamas. Aunt Gloria wanted everyone to have matching plaid pajamas. I think they are really cute. Hayden's was a bit too big, so G-ma Kelly took it back with her to sew. The girls wanted to wear them tonight, and they took some silly pictures. Hayden is really into Blues Clues right now, so he is wearing some BC pajamas I found him at Kid to Kid.

The picture of Hannah sleeping was her practicing being Joseph when the Angel appeared to him and told him about Mary.

The picture of me with the girls... the Big laugh? I was actually chocking because Hayden came and jumped right on my chest. It hurt. You can't tell from the picture, can you?

Holiday Bazaar

Thursday, Hannah and Hayden's Preschool (Discovery School) had their annual Holiday Bazaar. During the day they had about 20 craft vendors, and then that night the kids performed a song for us and then they had an auction. It was so much fun. I haven't really been to an auction and I will honestly say it was cheap fun! During the auction the kids went upstairs and watched a movie, did crafts, played games and had a snack. Each class made some sort of item to sell in the auction. Hayden's class made a fleece blanket that had all the kids pictures on it. It sold for almost $500. Isn't that crazy? Hannah's class made an adorable Christmas tree skirt. They put all the kids hand and footprints on it and made them into reindeer. It was so cute. I really wanted it, but could not compete with the crazy bidders. It sold for close to $300. I am not sure why Hayden's class got so much more, but oh well. The school made a ton of money.
Hannah's class sang "My Fathers House", and Hayden's class sang "slippery fish". Hayden loves this song and sings it all the time at home, but he was not interested in singing during the performance. He clung to me like crazy. We all had a great time. I sure do love their school.

Happy Birthday Abby

November 7th was Hailey's Best Friend Abigails 7th birthday. She had a horse riding party out at the McCartys Ranch. Hailey was not interested in riding Princess Fiona, but she had a great time playing with the other girls, jumping from one hay bail to another, bobbing for apples, feeding the horses, the hay ride, and jumping on the trampoline. It was a great party, and I can not believe Abby is already 7. That means my baby girl will be turning 7 here soon as well. Time sure does fly by. Too FAST!!

Rockin Fun Run

On Friday November 6th Bette Perot Elementary had their annual fun run. This year they called it "Rockin Fun Run". This is one of the schools main fundraisers. Last year we went to Bangs the day of the Pumpkin Fun Run, so Hailey was super excited about getting to participate this year. Mrs. Bellingtons class voted and decided to call themselves "The TURKEYS"!! One of the mothers made each kid a turkey hat. On the back of Hailey's shirt were a bunch of stars. Each lap they ran they marked off one of the stars. Hailey ran 27 laps. Woo Hoo! That's my baby girl. She was proud. Hannah had gymnastics at the exact time the 1st graders were running, so we were not able to watch. But, she understood and I think I got two cute pictures at home. She was acting like a silly turkey in one. I think they chose a PERFECT name. HA HA!!

Fruits and Vegetables

On our way to the Holiday Bazaar Performance and Auction for the kids Preschool Hailey was talking about how she was going to be given a test on Friday over the President, Governor and Mayor. We were discussing their names and what they do and Hannah exclaims " they sound just like fruits and vegetables". Rick Perry (pear), Pat Mcgrail (grilled chicken), Barack Obama (banana). Ha! The way kids perceive things. I love it!

For those of you who read my blog and are our FRIENDS not RELATIVES, please disregard this post. It is meant only to get a message out. It will be deleted before making a book :) I might sound immature or a complete ass, but I dont care. There is some stuff I have had enough of.

YES, I have MS. YES, it will impact the rest of my life GOOD or BAD. Whether it is a good day or a bad day, I will live my life as a normal person. I do not need to be told by anyone on where I can go, or what I can do. I will always make those decisions myself (based on what God wants me to do of course). One day, if I can not make decisions on my own, my husband will be the one who decides for me. I have 100% faith he will do what is best for me and our family. I don't care if my immune system might not be 100% as healthy as a normal person, but no one will tell me I can not go visit my grandfather who by the way is in his late 80's and could die any day. You never know. He will see me, he will see his great-grandkids. That is all there is to it.

We are awesome parents. We do the best we can given the circumstances we are faced with right now. NO ONE starts off rich, unless you have a wealthy family member who passes it down to you. MOST people have to work their way up and that is how it is suppose to be. YOU were not wealthy and your wealth now could go away ANY day. Then where would you be?
I was strong enough to take all the crap that was being dished out, but not anymore. If you want me to stay healthy as long as I can, then keep your negative thoughts to yourself. We dont care about them. You will not dishonor our family or our children. They will be impacted greatly by how you treat us, and how we respond out of anger. They are not stupid.

We are BAPTIST!!!! We are staying that way. I was raised for 23 years baptist. It is what we believe and it is what we are teaching our children. You can believe whatever you want to believe, but you keep it amongst you and your fellow believers. The first time you try to confuse my children you lose contact with them. Family is the most important thing to me apart from God, but if family is causing harm to my kids or family in any way, I will let go. You cant teach me something all my life and one day come and say we are all going to hell. The most important day of my daughters life, one of you were non-existent. You know who you are.

I only want happiness in my home. If you can not come visit and provide ONLY that, then you are no longer welcome. I don't care who you are. I will not spend holidays with people who are going to always find some negative conversation to have.

I want happiness and to be healthy, and in order to achieve that I have to put aside some things that can be a detour. We all have to make sacrifices. I can't be the best WIFE, MOM, or FRIEND, when I have people in my life who are trying to steer me the opposite way. You have had one of the worst marriages my entire life, and you never found it necessary to try to mend. I don't want to be like you. It destroys the people you love. If I turn out like you, so will my kids. They tend to take after the ones who raised them. You have lots of positive things, but I am only focusing on the things that have caused me and my family harm.

I love you guys, but I cant take the stress anymore. I get stress and anxiety every time I talk to you or visit you (here or there). It is bad for my health and probably everyone elses. I just want you to be happy for us. We are the ESTES family and things will only get BETTER!!!!!!

Halloween

Saturday, October 31st, our day started off a little crazy. We got the smaller two kids donuts for breakfast since Hailey was off at a friends house. Then a guy came out to the house to fix our bedroom door and door frame. Between running from store to store, picking up Hailey and then the arrival of Mimi and Papa, it was a busy morning. As soon as Mimi and Papa arrived, the girls loaded them with all their handmade birthday presents. Since they are on a new diet we couldn't celebrate with a cake, so the kids made them a ton of silly things. They love crafts, once you get them started, they don't stop. Uncle Tim made us a yummy lunch within their new diet plan and then we started trying to get the kids cleaned up and ready for the Halloween festival at our church. Hailey had three friends (Raegan, Evann and Phoebe) riding with us and she was so excited. Once everyone got there we headed over to the church. The girls had a good time playing games, going on a hayride, eating popcorn, and decorating pumpkins. Two hours flew by fast. We didn't even get to do everything that was there. The best part of the whole afternoon, was seeing how excited Hailey's friends got over receiving a bible. One of the girls got one, and when the other kids saw it, they all wanted to know where they could get one. They were thrilled about the Bibles. Raegan even sat down next to my dad at one point and was reading it. Wow! How many 6 or 7 year olds prefer to sit and read the Bible instead of playing games and getting candy. I was impressed. Shane spent the day with Hayden at the bounce houses, painting pumpkins, checking out the Firetruck, and going through the hay maze. We missed him, but glad he got to spend some time with the boy.
After the church festival we stopped at sonic for a drink and took the girls home. Mimi and Uncle Tim made us dinner - hamburgers, and then we once again got ready for trick or treating. Our door bell rang 3 or 4 times in the few minutes we were eating. Kids sure get started early. We took the kids, and King Trick or Treating around the neighborhood and then headed back home. Everyone was so tired, and plus we needed some sleep for church the next morning. We had the kids in bed around 9, even with all the activities going on. Mom and I went to Walmart to look for a few Christmas items. We only got one. They are all sold out... in store and online. I didn't think my kids wish lists were that popular. They are real simple this year. I guess I will keep searching.
We had a great Halloween and so thankful we were able to celebrate it with our family. We love you Mimi, Papa and Uncle Tim. We hope you all had great Birthdays!!!

Haydens Prayer

First of all, last week while we were waiting in line to pick Hailey up from school, Hayden decided to tear a wipey up, roll the pieces into balls, and stick two of them up his nose. Luckily I was able to get them out. Thank Goodness. He wasn't too concerned, he just kept saying "Get out my nose, get out my nose". I am sure it didn't feel very good.

Sunday, Hannah accidentally swallowed a jaw breaker. We learned our lesson from that. No more hard candies in our house. :( It was a bit scary, and Shane was gone to the store. She is fine and that is all that matters.

Last night Hayden was running around and throwing himself on the floor in a million ways. All of a sudden he rams into the wall and bounces to the floor hitting his head. He layed there and tried to get up, only to fall again. To Shane and I, it looked as if he was disoriented and he hurt himself. We picked him up, talked to him, and got him to walk to us. Come to find out, he was MAKING himself do all that. Ugh! Boys!

Today as we were taking Hannah to school, Hayden was praying in the car.
"No More Boo Boo, No More Boo Boos, God, Many Many Blessings, Many Many Blessings, Amen, Amen"
