Bear Creek Park April 2010

One evening after the kids got out of school we headed over to Bear Creek Park in Keller for an evening of volleyball, jumping rope, picnic, and just family fun. Shane met us out there on his way home from work. The kids were being real silly. Hailey was practicing jumping rope for a game/contest her and her friends were doing at school. Hannah played hide and seek, and tag with some other kids at the park. Hayden was just Hayden.... WILD!!! We stayed late for a school night, but it was so worth the time we got to spend with our precious babies. Crazy girl

Daddies here!! Daddies here!

Look at Hayden's face. He looks scary... like Chucky!!

Northwood Church Carnival - April 2010

Hailey's best friend, Madison, and her mom met us up at the NorthWood Church Carnival for the evening. The girls had such a blast. They were loving all the rides. I think Hayden would have ridden EVERY ride if he was tall enough. He loved going up high in the sky and spinning real fast. We spent about 4 hours and then we headed out. We still needed to eat dinner and it was past 9 o'clock. We stopped and grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed home to get into bed. The next morning we were going to NorthWood Church for the first time. The kids were so excited. They were looking forward to making some new friends. Getting ready to go down the big slide

Shane, Hannah and Madison

Hayden LOVED the carnival rides. We rode this ride three times in a roll. I was so scared he was going to fall out. It was going HIGH and he was leaning over the side. He screamed, not from being scared, but because he was having SOOOOO much fun. I think he already has the need for speed and thrill. He outgrew his power wheels motorcycle in 2 months because he thought it was too slow. He is already starting to think the 4-wheeler is to slow.

Shane, Hannah and a little girl Hannah became good friends with at the Carnival :)

FERRIS WHEEL - Hannah and Haydens first time- they were not sure what to think

April 2010 - Donuts with Dad

Shane and Hailey on their way to Bette Perot Elementary for Donuts with Dad Day. Hailey was so excited to have Daddy get to come each breakfast with her at her school. Can you see how proud she was? She was just beaming from ear to ear. They had a great time together, and Hailey even got to eat TWO donuts. She also got to see several of her good buddies with their dads. Mr. Wilson, the principal, was eating breakfast with the kids who's dads were not able to come. Hailey said there was even some grandpas who came to eat with their granddaughters. Cute! Family is so important, and I am so happy about how much time Shane tries to spend with the kids. He is such an amazing Daddy and Husband.

Texas Rangers April 2010

Shane, Josh Dooley and Hayden hit a Texas Rangers game. Hayden was so excited. Josh was leading the rest of the fans in some pretty serious cheers. He is such a hoot. Hayden loved having him at the game with him. Besides baseball, the music and fireworks, Hayden loves the food. He gets to eat so many snacks when he goes to the game. We always have a backpack filled with snacks and drinks. Man, he is one lucky little man. Can you tell he was eating oreos?
Hayden had a GREAT time and did really well (as usual), even with the weather being really cold. My poor baby boy was in shorts and a tank top and all he had was a thin rain coat. The things we do for some baseball. He is looking forward to going to MANY more games with Daddy.

Look Who LOVES the Texas Rangers...

5-20-10 Hayden "knows" his girl :)

Hayden's best friend is Sophia Grace Weaver, and let me tell you, this boy knows his girl. :)

Tuesday we dropped Hannah off at school, and we were walking out to our car, and Hayden points to the one parked next to us (a black Tahoe) and said, "This not our car". I said "No, this is our car, that one belongs to someone else.". Hayden says, "that is my Sophie's car". I told him no it wasn't Sophie's car because she doesn't go to Discovery School. He insisted, "Yes it is, Look mommy it is her car seat". Sure enough there was a pink flowered car seat just like the one Sophie has. Crazy boy. He definitely pays a lot of attention.

Today on the way to school I decided to take Starnes instead of Chapman because of all the construction and detours. As we started driving down the road Hayden yells, "Yeah, we not going to school. We going to the slides with MY SOPHIE. " My poor boy recognized the street and thought we were going to his friends house to play. Once I told him Sophie was going to her school today, he was okay again. He sure wanted to see his Sophie though.

Too Cute 5-10-10

I know this is way out of order since I am so behind, but I have to post on this before I forget.

Three nights ago Shane was putting Hayden to bed, and after they said their nightly prayer, Hayden adds, "I love you Sandman". Shane says, "cinnamon?" Hayden - "NO, Sandman. I love you Sandman. Thank you Sandman". I am not sure where he got sandman, or if he is now calling Jesus Sandman, but we thought it was kinda cute.

Tonight, when I went into Hayden's room to give him goodnight kisses and hugs, he says, "mommy, I have hots in my bed". I reach down in the dark and take whatever he was calling hots out of his hand. It was an individual bag of pepperonis. He calls them "hots" because he thinks they are hot and spicy. I am not sure when he snuck them out of the fridge. Silly Silly Boy!!
