Fall Party

Discovery School had their annual Fall Party for the kids. Hayden was so excited. He made sure that Mommy and/or Daddy would be there to help share his special day. They started the day off by making treat bags, decorating a pumpkin with stickers, and making Halloween card. Then they headed outside for the rest of the festivities. They started off decorating sugar cookies. Lets just say they went a little crazy with the icing and sprinkles. AJ poured EVERY color sprinkles on his cookie that he found... red, yellow, blue, green, mixed, chocolate and orange. Hayden tried to copy, but I limited his to about 4. Don't you think that is enough? ;) Then they headed to the donut bob... not that they weren't already hyped on sugar. It was so much fun watching all the kids trying to eat the donut off the string without using their hands. Hayden tried really hard, but finally he just wanted to eat it, so he quickly grabbed it with a huge smile on his face. After donuts we headed over to a few games and then pumpkin bowling. Hayden loves to pumpkin bowl, and he is pretty darn good. Austin kept running and kicking over the bottles before the kids had a chance to roll the pumpkin. I sure love Hayden's class of boys. They are wild, but a lot of fun. After all the sugar and fun games the kids got to play on the playground for awhile to run off some of the sugar and energy. Then they headed back to the classroom for lunch. They were going to eat outside, but it was getting windy, so they are going to pick a day next week to make a special lunch date. They finished up their Fall Party with more Pumpkin crafts, Chapel and Creative Movement.. Hayden's favorite. Hayden had a great time and I am thankful I was able to spend this special day with him. He immediately fell asleep when we got into the car after school... he was wore out.
