Haileys 7th Rock Star Party

Hailey decided this year that she wanted a Rock Star birthday party. There are a few directions you can go with this, but since she also was wanting a karaoke machine for Christmas, we decided on the Karaoke route. My dear friend, Kortney, came over and fixed the girls hair for about an hour and forty five minutes. I wasn't thinking it would take that long, but she said she didn't mind. Another good friend of ours, Keri, painted the girls nails. Oh, it is so nice to have good friends. They make life so much more enjoyable. Thank you girls for all your help. When the girls were first arriving we had them make Rock Star messenger bags. They seemed to be a bit hit, although the paint was a bit messy. I think a few kids, including my dear Hannah, got it all over their clothes, and with it being FABRIC paint, it obviously isn't coming out. Oooops! Then the girls got to get their hair styled, sprayed with cool colors, rock star braid extensions, fingernails painted, and rock star tattoos. After everyone was done, we let the girls pick a song to sing on karaoke with a friend. This part is when it became a little crazy. Everyone wanted to sing at the same time and people were not finding songs they knew all the words to. It was fun though. We ended up not having much time to sing as we took a little too long on the other activities. The girls were having fun and that is all that matters. About 3:45 our special guest showed up... Mrs. Jessica! See the next blog entry.
