Mimi and Papa's - Cheerleading Camp

For the past 4 years the girls have been going to Cheerleading Camp in Bangs. They both started going when they were 3. The will start asking when they get to go back the day after camp is over. It makes for a LONG year. ;) They love it though. They both do a really good job. I am super proud. They of course do ALOT better at home, but I am proud that they will even get up on the stage and do anything. When I was little, I covered my head and shyed away.

Hailey is wearing a cheerleading uniform mimi bought her 2 years ago. It was too short this year, so we had to add a shirt underneath. She was not happy. She didn't want it to have sleeves.

Hannah wanted a cheerleading uniform to wear as well, so mimi took her to walmart and bought a dress up uniform - note the bright red. Oh well. It made her happy.

Once again, their favorite part of the camp was snack time. Why are they so excited about a popsicle, cookies and cookie cake? It isnt like they never get that stuff at home. Crazy kids.

Mimi and Papa's - Train

Papa built a train for the kids last summer and they always want to go for a ride (or 20) every time we are in Bangs. Papa took them all over the place. They stopped to pick flowers and even got to ride through the mud. The tire on the trailer busted as they ran over a mesquite thorn (it actually put about 40 holes in the tire). So, they had to take it off. It was carrying three neighbor boys when they got a flat. Thanks for the train PAPA.

Hayden is going to be super excited because Papa is bringing the train to his birthday party.

Mimi and Papa's - Rockets

Papa helped the girls make their own rockets, which they loved. If you ever need to know, the key to my daughters heart is through hugs and CRAFTS! They absolutely love it when someone takes the time to do crafts with them. I don't mean just sitting down and coloring, but actually helping them make something special - like a rocket that they get to REALLY fly.

Papa fixed the rockets on the stand and then the girls got to pull the string to make the rocket shoot off. You had to really be watching because it happened so fast. Luckily I caught it with the camera before hitting the ground :)

Hailey wanted her hair curled for graduation. Mommy did the best that I know how. :) Curls tend to fall out quickly with her, so I didnt know if it would last 1 1/2 hours until the graduation started.

Today was Hailey's Kindergarten Graduation. She has been so excited now for about a month. She would practice her songs EVERYDAY, and it was so adorable. She is so outgoing when she is just around us. But, when "other" people are watching, she tends to shy up a bit, which is fine.

The graduation was GREAT and a bit emotional as well. They always tend to play those songs that make you want to cry. My baby girl is growing up. :( What am I going to do now? It seems like only yesterday when we were taking her to her first day of school. Time sure flys by.

Mimi, Papa, Uncle Tim, Grandma Kelly, and Aunt Gloria all came to share in this special occasion. Hailey was so happy so many people could come.

The kids sang about 5 songs, and Hailey did such an amazing job. I am super proud of her. She told Shane that she sang in her soft voice even though they wanted them to be loud because her soft voice makes her sing beautiful. :) Hailey was NOT shy at all.

When she first walked in she had her head down low and her arms crossed about her chest. I knew right then she wasn't going to participate. She sure fooled me. She had a great time. She would wave at us, and look over and smile or make silly faces for pictures. What a ham.

Hayden and the MESS

I put Hayden down for his nap today as usual, and I "thought" he was asleep. 45 minutes into the "nap" my mom called and then I hear Hayden crying. I assumed he just woke up because of the phone ringing. I go in there to check on him, and to my surprise he was COVERED in poop and so was the pack-n-play. Lets just say, I don't have the stomach for this, but since Shane is currently not in town I had to clean it up. Hayden was sent directly to the tub, clothes and all. He obviously had been so quiet during nap because he was painting himself. The poop was DRY. It would not come off with a wash cloth, so I had to use a fingernail brush and scrape the junk off. It was nasty. The pack-n-play is currently sitting in the drive way. I don't look forward to trying to clean that. I don't know if I can forget about the smell and bring it back into my house. We might be starting the big bed training TONIGHT!!! That can be Shane's job ;)

Ugh! Between dirty diapers, climbing on EVERYTHING, opening doors and refrigerators, and breaking glass jars, I am not sure I could handle another little boy!! By the way, I DO want another baby someday. Note "SOMEDAY". I am talking years from now. Hayden would be in school or almost in school. Am I crazy?

It is very hard to get pictures of Hannah actually looking at you. Normally her eyes are to the left or right due to one of the symptoms of SPD. But, when I actually get her looking at me, she melts my heart. She is beautiful in EVERY picture of course, but I love getting to see her beautiful eyes and smile. :)

Since Shane and Hailey are in San Angelo and the kids have been locked up in the house for a week, I decided to take Hannah and Hayden to the Botanical Gardens. Yes, I know they are still officially contagious, but my goodness, who are they going to infect? There really wasn't many people there, and the ones that were there were 100 feet from us. So, no worries. We ran around and played, looked at the fish, and of course Hayden loved every pond of water. I tried to take some pictures while we were there as well. We had a good time. As we were leaving I let the kids have their m&ms which were melted. Not a good idea. By the time we got home, Hayden was covered in chocolate. :) Oh well! The joys are motherhood and being little.
