A few months ago, Hannah tried out for the Bette Perot Annual Talent Show and made it. Only 20 acts were chosen out of about 65 kids. She was so excited and we were beyond proud of our little rock star. She had rehearsal practices once a week after school up until the Talent show. We thought she was going to miss the show due to being sick, but thankfully she officially was uncontagious the night before. Woo Hoo! Shane and I stayed up until almost 2 Sunday night making her a quitar. It turned out pretty good all things considered. Tuesday they had a "performance" in front of the school as a practice for that nights show. She did awesome - so say all the teachers and our friends, etc. She came home upset though because some kids broke her guitar and a few bigger kids were making fun of her. :( I can not believe kids these days. They can be so mean. We talked and then she was back to being all smiles. She was pumped to get back on the stage that night. I am so proud of my little girl for not quiting. We fixed her guitar, curled her hair (her request) and got her all glitzed up with glitter :) She asked me to make her matching flip flops and a bow. I of course said YES! She was pink and zebra striped from head to toe. Too Cute! All picked out by my princess. She was so excited once we got to the school and couldnt be still. Finally it was time to go back stage with the rest of the performers. When it was her turn she came out on stage, and sang "Blessed be the name" and she did AWESOME! We were so proud. Mimi and Papa came up for the show, and Hannah invited Buddy and Petra. They are both on Haydens t-ball team, but Hannah met Buddy several months ago at Aqua Kids. She thinks he is a cute little boy - 3 yrs old. At Haydens t-ball party she asked them to come and they immediately said of course. Awesome family! Made my girls day.
