Discovery School Fall Festival

Today the kids had a Fall Festival at Discovery School. Due to the weather they had it in the church gymnasium. I didn't go to Hayden's only because I didn't want to mess up his routine. I was afraid he would cling to me and not go enjoy all the activities. From the pictures I saw on the wall, he had a great time. I do wish I was able to capture some of the memories though.
As you can tell from the pictures Hannah had a great time.
Picture # 1 Pumpkin Spoon Race
#2 and 3 Pumpkin Bowling
#4 and 5 Edible Necklaces.... Note the 3 Musketeers eating their necklaces (Lauren and Camdyn- Hannah's 2 Best Friends from D.S) Her teachers say the three of them are always together.
#6 and 7 They had to eat a donut off the string without using their hands. It was hilarious watching the kids do this.

Jack-O-Lantern- Finished Project

The kids had a good time carving the Jack-O-Lantern and I guess we can officially say we succeeded in at least scaring one person. *smile* I don't think Hayden was REALLY scared, but he sure knew the reaction you were suppose to give.

Jack-O-Lantern

Sunday Night we stayed up "Late" and let the kids do our annual pumpkin carving. Normally each kid gets their own to design, but this year I waited too long to buy them and they didn't have ANY good ones left. So, we only carved one. I imagine Shane was happy about that though. *smile*
You will notice the kids patiently waited for daddy to put the top off of the pumpkin. Once he got the top off, Hannah jumped in and started pulling out the insides. She has never had an issue with how it felt. Hailey, as usual, took a bit and then she decided to join in. Hayden repeated over and over how "yucky" it was, but finally he started to help as well. Each time he pulled his hand out he would make sure we knew it was yucky and then he would wipe it all over and start over. Hailey drew three sketches on how she thought we should do the pumpkin, and we voted on them. We ended up doing square eyes, diamond nose, and a jagged smile. She claims it would be real "SCARY", and would scare everyone when they came to our house. I guess we will see.

Sleepy Girl

I am currently doing the single parent thing since Shane is out of town for business - it honestly isn't all that hard, but tonight I felt bad for sweet Hannah. With all the rain we started dinner early which led to early baths and everything else. By about 6:00 it felt like it was 8. Hailey finished up her Raz Kids and the kids were getting ready for bed by about 7:15. I decided to go ahead and get Hayden in bed so he could get some extra sleep. I sent Hannah in her room to read until I could read with her. After getting Hayden in bed, this is what I find. She was holding the book she wanted to read with me and fast asleep. Poor girl! She was obviously exhausted! I guess it was a good thing I put them to bed before 8 tonight.

Mint Mint

Today while the girls were in school, Hayden and I were snuggling on the sofa watching Everyones Hero. I bent down and said " I love you", and Hayden smiles and says "mint mint?". I asked him if a mint meant I love you, and he replies "uh huh". Crazy boy! Normally I get an I love you back, but today, I got a Mint Mint!

Angels even when sick

Hayden has been down with a virus now for about a week. Hannah has had it for a few days. They feel terrible, but they are so precious! I love seeing them snuggle together and love on each other. They might fight alot, but deep down they are forever bonded!

Boys Will be Boys!

Hayden has decided that food is suppose to be used as lotion. He literally will rub it over his entire body. He acts almost like he didn't do anything wrong. What am I going to do with him?
