The girls have been asking for "robes" of all things for a few months. Luckily, they got matching High school musical robes for Christmas from Mimi. After bath things seems to go pretty quickly, so a robe doesnt get used very often in our household. But, the other night we let the girls put on their robes. They were super excited. They even slept in them. I guess they stayed warm :) They both wanted to pick out their own cups from the cabinet for their water. Note the pictures of them standing on countertops. They are funny little girls. We love em!!

New words - phrases
Saturday the girls taught Hayden to say "Hey Baby". It is so adorable!! A funny coincidence is that was a phrase Shane was saying at a early age as well.
He is also saying "nack" for snack.
Hopefully I will turn this blogging into books each year. It is so much easier to do than the baby books (which I am WAY behind on).
Blogging is so much fun!!!

makeup time
Friday Hayden and Hailey went with Shane to his office for an hour or so. Hannah thought she was so special. She got to have time ALL by herself with mommy. She decided she wanted to watch her my little pony movie (hailey thinks it is for babies) and then we played with makeup. She is such a girly girl and loves to play with makeup, and daddy doesnt really like it. Although, he allowed her to do it one day when I was gone. What a sweet daddy :)
She was covered in pink blush, pink eyeshadow, pink lipstick and anything else PINK she found in the box. She even got to surprise daddy with her beautiful work as they walked into the door a few minutes after she was done. He immediately noticed and told her how cute she was. That definitely made her day.
I love getting to have one on one time with the kids. I only wish I could do it more often.
Puppet time
Shane and the girls made sack puppets the other day. The girls decided they wanted to put on a puppet show. They decided the show would be in Hannahs room and the stage for whatever reason was the horses that Hannah got for Christmas. It was funny. They didnt rehearse anything. They just started talking/ singing and making things up as they went along. They are so creative and funny. They truly make me laugh :) I love seeing their imaginations soar!!!
Family campout
Hannah 10:45 pm
Friday night we decided to have a family "campout" in the living room. We didnt put up the tent this time since it is so big. We layed down a ton of blankets and pillows, made some hot chocolate and yummy smores in the fireplace, and watched Mary Poppins. Yes, I know a movie is not "camping out", but it was fun!!! The girls both fell asleep about 10:45. We quietly moved them to their own beds and we were able to get a decent night sleep in our room as opposed to the floor with two squirmy kids :) Hannah still woke up at 7 am and Hailey soon after. It seems the later they go to bed, the earlier they rise. Ahhhh!!!!
Shaving with Daddy
Hayden got a shaving kit for Christmas and he is always getting it out to play with. So, last night he got to shave with daddy. It was pretty funny. He never really caught on to shaving his own face, but he sure enjoyed shaving shanes. He did start shaving his lip, but that is about as far as it got. He has the mouth down since EVERYTHING tends to go there. :) Maybe in another month he will understand a little more, but then again I might regret it. Especially the day he picks up a REAL shaver and slices his sweet little face :( Hmmmm, I might need to rethink this "cuteness" abit.

New Years Eve
The girls wanted to get all "prettied" up before daddy came home from work today. So, I gave the girls a good ol' pedicure and manicure. (the best I knew how since I have never had one done). It was alot of fun. Hailey got a foot spa and all kinds of fun nail polishes and stuff for Christmas. We spent about an hour and a half trying EVERYTHING out. Hailey ended up having me paint her toes purple, with glitter and stickers on top, and her fingers were hot pink with heart diamond stickers. Hannah chose light pink for her toes with glitter and daisy stickers, and then purple fingernails with daisy stickers. After the mani and pedis they picked out an outfit (dresses of course) and we fixed their hair and put glitter in their hair and on their faces. They sure looked beautiful (as always). They couldnt wait to surprise Daddy! Although by the time he arrived, they had other things on their mind. They forgot to even tell him about it. I still fun though. I love spending quality time with them. They are such a joy.
Happy New Years!
