Family Discovery Camp Day 1

The girls have been excited for months about getting to go to the MS Family Discovery Camp. October 14th we pulled the girls out of school early, and Mimi and Papa came over to watch Hayden (he has to be 6) for the weekend. After getting all loaded up we headed to Burton Texas to Camp for All!! Once we arrived we were greeted by some very friendly and entergetic people. They got us checked in and our luggage put in the right spot. We went inside and signed up for some activities and got our camp shirts. Then headed out to our cabins I was 11, Shane was 12 and the girls were 15. Our luggage was already waiting inside the cabins for us. We picked our beds and helped the girls get everything situated for the weekend. Did I mention how excited they were??? After getting situated and beds made, we headed back to the main entrance for dinner. We ate, walked around got ready for the "fireless" campfire smores and entertainment. Hannah volunteered for EVERYTHING!! It was cute. She got out in front of everyone and danced with the Staff (who were amazing AWESOME!). They taught her a dance and then she performed it with them. Then she volunteered again and she had to twirl these ribbons to a song. She did so good and everyone thought she was adorable. I was proud of my little girl. She was the youngest camper this year :) Hailey got out and danced a little with Daddy and at the end of the night, she twirled the ribbons as well. She thought it was so fun.
We ate yummy smores and danced and just had a good time getting to know eachother. After the "fireless" bonfire, the girls went with their Cabin Leader and they played games, made ribbon twirlers and what not. Shane and I went inside and played bingo with the other adults. We ended up winning a Cars ball set for Liam. Score!! LOL Then about 11 we headed in for the night. The women in my cabin talked for hours, so I didnt get to bed until about 2 and woke up at 5:30 or 6 due to people taking showers and banging around. Ugh!!! It was a fun first night though. I met some really nice women in the 2 1/2 hour talk session :)

Hailey's request

Hailey asked for me to teach her how to use the vaccum. I quickly said "Sure!". She did a really good job. Now, onto teaching her to clean her room without having to be asked :)

Pumpkin Patch

The kids got out of school half day, so we took a trip out to the pumpkin patch. The kids ran around in the pumpkins, went through the hay maze, jumped on the bounce houses, ate a snow cone, and just had fun. Liams favorite thing was eating the hay. He LOVED it!!! He normally looks the camera and is all smiles, but he was way too interested in the hay. We had a good time. Ended our trip with the kids getting to pick out some mini pumpkins to paint. I sure do do love this time of year!!!

Nine Months

I can not believe our Sweet Baby Boy is already nine months old. Time has sure flown by. He has changed so much in the past 2 months. When he went to the Therapist for his torticollis evaluation, he was not rolling over, sitting up from a laying down position, crawling or even really pushing up on his arms when on his stomache. He hated it all, but really wanted to be mobile. NOW, this little boy is all over the place. I can not keep up with him. I turn my head and he has raced out of the room. Liam started crawling October 7th (barely 8 months old). He has been saying Mama and Dada for the past 2 1/2 weeks :) When he is hungry he starts screaming "na na". I want to say he is trying to say "yum yum" for food, but I might not be able to give him full credit yet. He said it once or twice at the right moment, so maybe?? HA!!

He is sleeping through the night normally from 7:30-8 pm to 7-7:30 am. He occassionally will have a night (if he doesnt feel well or something) that he will wake up, but we have gone about a week without any interruptions. It has been difficult to sleep train him since he goes to his moms for 4 days each month. We get him on a great schedule and then when he comes back we almost are starting over. It is one of the little prices that comes with fostering, but so worth it. I would not change our decision for anything. He is OUR SON, and no matter what happens in the future, we will always love the little guy. He wakes up happy and smiling.

This baby loves to eat... most of the time. He normally has three meals of 1/4 cup rice cereal with 1 jar stage 2 baby food (sometimes just the baby food), and one snack that consists of baby puffs or some type of fruit in his mesh feeder. He loves to eat from his mesh feeder. And he has five 5-8 oz bottles of formula a day. He is still on the Smilac Ailementum for his dairy intolerance.

Liam loves to listen to music. As soon as it comes on he starts bouncing up and down and shaking his arms to the beat. He loves to play with Haydens drum sticks. If you sit him up close to the drum, then he "tries" to bang on it. He atleast knows what to do, but does not have the strength to actually do it.

Liam knows his brother and sisters. As soon as he gets up in the morning and we are walking out of his room, he starts looking for them. Once he spots one of them, he gets a huge grin across his face and starts bouncing and shaking his arms.

He is starting to pull up on things. One day when he woke from nap, he was screaming because I was outside, and I came in to find him standing up in the crib. He has also pulled up on some of his toys, stool, etc. He is going to be cruising soon. Big Boy!!

Waering size 12-18 month clothes, and size 3 shoes. Crazy!!! Weighs in at 22 pds 13 ounces which is 90 % for his age. (50% is 20 pounds - just for a comparison).
His 9 month doctor appt got rescheduled due to an emergency, so I will find out his length and head circumfrance on Monday.

Takes 1 good nap a day before lunch (normally 1-2 hours) and since we are always on the go with sports, school, etc., he takes little short naps here and there throughout the day. He would take another good one if we were home and did not have to load back up in the car. It works though. He sleeps at night and is getting plenty of sleep.

He has two teeth. He has been teething, so I think he might be getting some more soon.

Always smiling, and loves people. He is such a happy little guy. He melts my heart. I am so blessed to get to be his "MOM" even if it might be temporary. He completes our family. We might not have everyones approval, but we don't care. It is what WE were called to do, and no one elses opinion matters. We have God's approval. That is all that matters.

Some people have voiced their opinions behind our backs, so I want to clarify something.....
Our life is NORMAL right now. Maybe crazy, but a good crazy. So, if you think once he is gone our life can go back to normal... you are wrong. If it was our choice he would be here to stay FOREVER!!! Maybe you need to focus on your life and not ours. I love our life... the ups, downs, good and bad. He doesnt effect anything that has to do with you!! I Love you, but focus on something else!!!!

Happy Nine months Liam Issac. We love you so much!!! Mommy, Daddy, Hailey, Hannah and Hayden (Bubba)

Sweet, Crazy, LOVE!!!

A Few of the MANY faces of my baby!

Pre-Practice Fun

We arrived at Haydens T-Ball practice about 45 minutes early, so the kids had a good time playing on the playground. The weather was great. Even Liam enjoyed just sitting in the stroller and watching the kids play. Then Hayden and Colton got some one on one time with coach before the rest of the team arrived. Haydens t-ball bag was in Shanes car, so Hayden had to borrow Coltons old glove. Ha. I think it was spongebob or something. Oh well, I was going to have to make him use Hannahs old "pink" softball glove.
