Weekend at the Herring Ranch

My little Cowboy!!! He loved the boys old cowboy hats.
Holston Joe. Look at that beautiful hair!!

Playing ball with Daddy.
This past weekend we went to Graham Texas to visit my cousins Chad and Christy and their families. Our trip started off by us driving an hour out of our way. Luckily we still arrived a little before lunchtime :) We visited with Christy's family for awhile and then we all headed out to Chad and Kim's house out on the Herring Ranch. The first thing we did was go see the horses. I was a bit disappointed. Hannah has been in love with horses since she was 18 months old and she was super excited about getting to ride with her cousins. When we got there she got on for about 2 minutes and then wanted off. She didn't like everyone watching her. Hailey didn't ride and neither did Hayden. We watched the bigger kids ride, which was fun itself. Then Colt got on one of the cows and rode him around. (pretty crazy to me). Hayden decided he wanted to ride the cow. So, on he went. The cows body was wider than Hayden's little legs. I don't have a picture as of now, but I am hoping my cousin will send it my way.
After riding the horses ( and cow ), we headed over to the ranch house. The kids played while lunch was being grilled. Between baseball, the trampoline, slide, bikes, dress up and all the other fun activities, the kids had a great time. The kids had 6 of their cousins to play with, so they were in heaven. After a "late" lunch we all get ready and drove into Wichita Falls for Colts baseball game. The game started at 6 and wasn't over until 9:15. I didn't realize little kid games lasted that long, and they only play 6 innings. Lets say my kids were starving. We stuffed all the snacks we had in them to keep them happy. Colts team won!! They have the championship game today. On the way home from the game we stopped at Arbys and carried on. It was an hour from the Ranch, so we didn't want to go inside to eat. We arrived back at Christy and Chris' about 11:25 and we bathed Hayden since he was covered in dirt. (The last 45 minutes of the game he decided that being covered in dirt was the best way to entertain himself and others. he would lay down and try to bury himself like the kids do at NRH2O). We got everyone in bed by 12. It was a long, but very fun night. The kids still woke up at 7:15. And day 2 began........

Shoes and bows

Hannah wanted to look cute for our trip to her cousins tomorrow, so we made her a new pair of shoes and a headband/bow. She was super excited. She loves headbands. Now if only I can get the house cleaned and everyone packed. ;)

Breathing treatment

Hayden is sick and has a real croupy cough. I have been giving him breathing treatments all day and he is being such a big boy. He puts the machine in his mouth and loves breathing in the medicine. Thank goodness. It was always so difficult when he was younger. He hated the face mask.

I did it!!

I learned to make bows and flip flops :) Yay! I am so excited. The girls are too. They are constantly asking me to make one this color and that color :) Makes me smile.

Stamps Kiddos

He kept pouring his caprisun all over us. He thinks it is hilarious!

Friday we watched Abby and Reese so Becky and Greg could have a night out for their 8th Anniversary. Happy Anniversary Guys!!!!

We decided it would be easier to have them stay the night instead of putting them to bed and having to wake them back up when their parents arrived.

We went to NRH2O for almost 4 hours and then stopped and got sonic blasts for the drive home. The kids decided they really wanted to watch "Everyones Hero" so we let them watch about 20 minutes before making them get into bed.
Hannah has been wanting to have a sleepover with Reese for a long time. I've tried to explain that boys and girls don't have sleepovers together but she wasn't happy about that. We went ahead and let Reese sleep on her trundle (this time anyways) since it was more comfortable than the floor in the living room. She was super excited and so was Reese. He asked me at NRH2O if he could sleep on the bed under her bed. ;) They did pretty good. They talked about 15 minutes and both were passed out. They woke up at 6 talking and I sent them back to bed. Then they slept until 7:45... whoo hoo! That is when the morning fully started.
Becky- I thought your kids slept late?? You owe me one! LOL ! Just kidding!
We had a great time.
